As a community artist Mary Sewell works with many groups of different ages and abilities providing hands on arts and craft activities. Projects includes art commissions with galleries, residencies, schools projects, cultural exchanges, and workshops with community groups, these may develop over a period of time or be one off.

Arts Media Project "(2009)
"My World My Dreams" Working with Leo's Group a youth club for young disabled people run by Sheffield Futures. Creating an series of photographs portraying the young peoples dreams and aspirations.
Museums Sheffield (2007-2008)
The National Portrait Gallery Project. Delivering workshops for young people, developing new interpretations in response to works on loan from the National Portrait Gallery and the Graves Gallery Collection.

Text Manor Project (2005-2007) Working with young people to produce a 3D coat of arms based on the plasterwork at the Manor Turret House. Shown at Weston Park Museum.
Manor Young People's Health Project (2005-2007)
Working with young people from the Manor and Woodthorpe to recreate scenes in Tudor times. Sculpting, photographing and collaging to make plagued heads for the pike!! Part of the Text Manor Project with Sheffield Galleries and Museums.
