Reflection

Mary Sewell is a visual artist who paints from her studio in Sheffield. Mary finds Inspiration in the connection between inner and outer worlds. She is concerned with issues of identity and the masks we wear. Her paintings are allegorical and transformative; they are emotive and often express that which is hidden.

The work Mary creates in her studio feeds the work she does as a community artist. She is interested in using art as a process to support and develop peoples creativity, individually and as a part of a community. Allowing people to gain new confidence, creative skills and a sense of achievement.
